UNIFEM National Committees support the mission of UNIFEM through their dynamic membership programs, public education about UNIFEM and global women's issues, and fundraising efforts to support UNIFEM programs worldwide. Currently, there are National Committees in 16 countries: Australia, Austria, Canada, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States. |

One of 16 National Committees, the U.S. National Committee for UN Women (USNC) provides support to UN Women by increasing public awareness of UN Women'ss mission, and by fundraising for UN Women's programs. Chartered in 1983, UNIFEM-USNC is a 501(c)(3) organization, and contributions to UNIFEM-USNC are tax-deductible. |

UNIFEM-USNC chapters are a vital part of the organization and work closely with UNIFEM-USNC's Board of Directors and Executive Committee to support the organization's fundraising, outreach, advocacy and educational efforts. Chapters are encouraged to plan and participate in UNIFEM-USNC sponsored events, such as UNIFEM-USNC's Annual Spring Walks and UNIFEM's International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, but are also encouraged to plan additional events that complement UNIFEM-USNC's mission.
