Call for submission of contributions to the General Discussion on Article 14 of CEDAW

On the occasion of its 56th session, to be held in Geneva from 30 September to 18 October 2013, on 7 October 2013 the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women will hold a half-day general discussion on rural women (article 14 of the Convention on the Elimination of All forms of Discrimination against Women). The Committee invites States Parties to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, United Nations specialized agencies and entities, United Nations human rights mechanisms, non-governmental organizations and other interested organizations and individuals to participate in the general discussion and to provide written submissions.
