Central African Republic: The world’s forgotten conflict and its impact on children

Raped, shot, abused, traumatised: just a few of the things happening to a generation of innocent children in the Central African Republic. War Child research released today finds that atrocities have been committed against children as young as three years old, and 40% of the most vulnerable children have lost their fathers in the bloodshed…Almost 10% of woman and girls interviewed before the latest violence had been raped. 95% of girls and 75% of boys said they needed support to cope with psychological trauma.
