Children more at risk of sexual exploitation than ever before

Children are more at risk of being sexually exploited or sold than ever before according to the UN Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography. In a presentation to the UN Human Rights Council, Najat Maalla M’jid, said that “millions of girls and boys worldwide are victims of sexual exploitation”, even though the issue has recently gained “increased visibility”.
