The U.S. National Committee for UN Women Chicago Chapter was founded in April 2014 with the goal of becoming involved in critical UN Women projects worldwide. The chapter is committed to raising awareness and funds through Chicago-based events and partnerships with local businesses, and actively supports UN Women’s overarching efforts to:
In additon, the chapter has also supported special UN Women initiatives including their work to assist female earthquake victims in Nepal, and the global HeForShe campaign for gender equality.
